Howdy Again, If you read the Talented Mr.Roto(Matthew Berry) you should know by now that you should never pay for saves. He is 100% right on this one. Saves come in
The TMR says never pay for saves. You should believe him. and out of the league all season long. You can even pull of trades for saves if you have to because there are always managers with excess that don't need the saves anymore. Every year you will see managers reach for a Papelbon or Nathan in like the fourth round. I say fine let them have them. You can get your saves later with not having to sacrifice other stats.

Howdy All, The OF spot in fantasy is where you fill up your teams needs. Most leagues require that you field 5 outfielders. That would be funny if they did that in real baseball. The re is a lot of talent roaming the outfield, but you got to remeber
Who knows what you will find lurking in the OF.that it will go fast because everyone needs five. I feel that you probably want to lock up 3 good OF's on your team, and then take some chances with the last two spots. Every year we see people break out like Quentin, or prospects come up to provide a spark. So you will be able to fill your needs with those types of players. If someone isn't working out, don't sit on them to long, because you will need to act fast to grab the next stud off the waiver wire. Now lets get to the list and see what gems we can find lurking out there.

Howdy,
Today we talk about the catcher position. I got some words of advise, please do not draft a catcher early. Don't overpay. Don't reach. Just let everyone else waste their picks on players that don't play everyday, and grabbed skilled positions in the mean time. Trust me on this one. I have won a lot of leagues by treating the catcher position like the kicker position in baseball. Grab one with your last pick, if it doesn't work out pick someone else up. You're team will be stronger in the long run and you will be able to make up the difference at the other positions.

Welcome back to whotobet.net! This week we have a couple Eastern Conference teams basically going through the motions. But don't let that get you down! There is still money in them there hills. Mine the gold and riches will be yours. Remember, there are only two weeks left in the season. On to the matchups...

Howdy,
The shortstop position is very top heavy with the likes of Hanley, Reyes, and Rollins. You will probably even found these three studs at the top or near the top in your draft. After those 3, the position drops off very fast, and you can
Speed only kills when you don't have power.wait to get your SS. There are some great young buys here like, Tulowitzki and Drew so don't worry too much. Please don't reach for Jeter. He will get taking early and you really can find his similar stats rounds later. When personally doing my draft, I like to found my speed guys in this spot. So beef up on power at the corners, and try to get someone here that will balance out your speed category. You can get a lot of these guys very cheap, and if they don't pan out there is always the waiver wire.
Thursday Free NBA Picks - 3-26-09
Welcome back to the whotbet.net! It took a few days, but I'm back and refreshed from my March Madness Vegas weekend. The first half overs treated me well in Sin City, so I'm ready to put some of those winnings down on the NBA. This week will be all about the numbers. So bring out the calculator and prepare to battle. On to the matchups...
Los Angeles Lakers (56-14) vs. Detroit Pistons (34-36)
Detroit surprisingly beat LA at the Staples Center by 11 way back in November. I see the opposite happening this time around as the Lakers travel to Detroit. Three key starters for the Pistons are injured...Iverson, Hamilton, and Wallace. Detroit is 11-25 ATS at home, while LA is 18-14 ATS away. We missed a chance last week with LA against Golden State, but this matchup should have a single digit spread.
Pick: Los Angeles -7.5

Howdy Again,
Today we are going to tackle the third base position for fantasy. Third base is a pretty deep position that thrives with power. You are going to
What the hell were you thinking?want to add one of these sluggers to your team to be able to compete across the board in homers, runs and rbis. However, you don't have to panic if you don't get one right away. I feel that this position is deeper than it has been in the past.
The hot corner is where it is at in baseball. You need to be able to hit the snot out of the ball, but at the same time be able to field and throw the ball all the way across the field.
Sweet 16 ... did you get them all right?
Memphis is BackI don't know about the rest of you, but the people in my bracket pool are absolutely on fire. I should've known something was up when after Day 1 some guy had gotten 16 of 16 games correctly predicted. I heard somewhere that of the 5 million entries on ESPN, only 20,000 of those had 16 of 16 correct, which equates to less than 1/2 of 1 percent. I'm sure glad one of those guys is in my league!
After the Sweet 16 was complete, over 5% of the people in my brackets had 15 of 16 teams correct!! One of them only missed Washington, which means he got the Arizona team correct? Who are these people, and why in the world hasn't that knowledge filtered down to me somehow. My brackets are pretty busted, but there are always second chance pools right? Anyways, let's take a look at those teams that are looking good, and those that are just squeaking by.
