World Series Game 1 Free Pick

It's been a while since we have "thrown" out a baseball pick, but with the World Series Game 1 looming tonight, we thought we let you all know our thoughts.  The Rays are absolutely fantastic story this year, and they continue to impress.  Everyone, including myself, didn't think they could beat the BoSox in a Game 7 matchup after blowing the 7 run lead in Game 5, but here they are, still keeping up the State of Florida's MLB Pride.  For those that don't know, the State of Florida's MLB Teams are a perfect 8-0 in the postseason.  So, what will happen tonight?

Philadelphia Phillies -103 at Tampa Bay Rays

Looking at the spread there is not a whole lot to cheer about as we don't have a clear favorite and can't go with an underdog team that has a good pitcher.  Thus, we are looking at a coin toss basically.  Cole Hamels of Philly has been absolutely fantastic during the postseason, posting a 1.23 ERA.  Kazmir for the Rays has not been so effective overall posting a 4.02 ERA during his 3 playoff appearances, but in his last outing he posted 6 strong innings, 0 ER, and only 2 hits.  The problem I see with Kazmir is that he cannot go many innings, and with a struggling bullpen going against Rollins, Utley and Howard, that is a big issue. The last time Kazmir went over 6 IP was back on July 21 against Oakland... 15+ starts ago!  With that in mind, and the struggling bullpen, and how well Hamels is pitching, looks like a Philly win to me tonight.
