Week 7 Thursday Night College Football

If you are going to pay them, they better step it up!If you are going to pay them, they better step it up!Last we started off nice and hot with our picks going 2-0 ATS and leading the 3rd game by 14 pts. ATS.  However, as ND normally does, they allowed a couple late TDs to Stanford, so that ended in a push, so all in all we ended up 2-1-1, which is still in the black.  This week we are going to kick it off with another victory on Thursday night in an ACC Atlantic clash.  I have come to absolutely hate Wake Forest.  Not only did they blow out FSU two years ago, but somehow have managed to win 3 straight against the Noles, so my hate just keeps brewing with each game.  Honestly, I don't think they have been that good the past year or two (what does that say about FSU), but they have managed to win.  Clemson comes into this game seeking some sort of redemption for a season that has left every saying to themselves...WTF??  Still, that doesn't mean they can't win on Thursday.

Clemson +3 (-120) at Wake Forest

Wake and Clemson are both coming off of bye weeks, so they should feel plenty rested.  The good news for Clemson is that Wake is coming off a loss to Navy in which the Mid-shipmen ran all over them for 292 yards.  Clemson doesn't have the same offense as Navy, but Navy doesn't have the talent of James Davis and C.J. Spiller.  Clemson is going to exploit some holes in this game and run all over the Wake defense.

What surprises me about this game is that the oddsmakers are basically saying it is a coin toss since the home team gets 3 points automatically, so if it was at Clemson, they would be favored by 3.  Looking at the odds, people seem to be leaning towards Clemson also, so get in now while it is still a FG.  Clemson is 0-3-2 ATS, whereas Wake is 2-2 ATS.  Clemson has to do some soul searching in this one and should come out with a victory.  If not, Tommy is going to be looking for a new job.  You don't come in ranked #9 in the country and lose 3 of your first 6 games, especially when those 3 victories are against the Citadel, SC State and this year's NC State.
