Thursday Free NBA Picks - 3-12-09

Welcome back to another episode of Thursday night free NBA picks here at!  Four great teams are scheduled to battle...well, three great teams and one that is still hanging on for dear life in the West.  Hold onto your hats.  On to the matchups...

Los Angeles Lakers (51-13) vs. San Antonio Spurs (43-20)
LA had a nice come back victory over Houston on Wednesday night, and it took 37 from Kobe to get there.  San Antonio has been three for their last three (all at home), and should be ready to host this matchup.  I made the mistake of picking Dallas last week after success going against Mr. Cuban's boys much of this year.  Well, I've been riding the Spurs all year long with I won't be breaking that trend this week.  Don't bet against Mr. Duncan!!!
Pick: San Antonio

Cleveland Cavaliers (50-13) vs. Phoenix Suns (34-30)
The Cavs are battling with Boston for the best record.  Phoenix is battling with themselves for the playoffs.  Cleveland had a sweet comeback against the LA Clippers on Tuesday night, with LeBron pulling down his second triple double in as many games.  Looking at the Cavs ATS, we see they are amazing at home (22-7) and just ok on the road (17-15-1).  But oh good god, do NOT look at Phoenix ATS...12-20-1 on the road and 12-17-1 at home.  Shaq might bounce some bodies in this game, but LBJ is up to the challange.
Pick: Cleveland

So there you have it.  Mr. Duncan and King James.  Two for the price of free!!  See you on the other side.  Until then...
