What time is it? It’s playoff time baby. I love it. For the past week we have been forced to watch meaningless bowl game after bowl game. Now the real game is here, and every game matters. Win or go home, and at the end of this playoff
Playoffs Baby! we will have a real champion. College football please watch and take some notes on how to really run a playoff. This year we have some surprising teams out and in for the big dance. No New England, No Dallas, but we do have Miami and Atlanta. I never would have guessed that at the start of the season. What a change of scenery. In the playoffs you throw all the history and the records out the door. Everyone has a clean slate now, and can put everything behind them. Season ATS 36-27
The Cardinals went from the team everyone was hyping to a team that is limping into the playoffs. Pretty much we have realized that the Cardinals play in the worst division of football and got lucky to be in the playoffs. They have a 9-7 record and really aren’t that special. The Falcons have really turned their team around from a year ago and Mr. Vick is still in the pen. Amazing. The balanced attack of Matt Ryan and Michael Turner will give the Cardinals fits all day long. Arizona’s defense has been up and down all year and they do play better at home. However, they Zona defense hasn’t shown up since they clinched the
You'll have plenty of time to kiss that now! division a couple of weeks ago. I just think the Cardinals are a farce this year that play in an easy division. When they play against a quality opponent they just don’t show up. I think the Falcons when this one on the road, and Kurt Warner can go back crying to his wife after this one.
Indianapolis (-1.5) at San Diego
San Diego squeaked into the playoffs by rolling off their last 4. The Colts have won 9 straight and seem to be the most dangerous team in the playoffs. Peyton has turned his year around, and is the most consistent QB in the game. In the past, it would have been no doubt that Peyton would blow a game like this, but that is a long long time ago. The Colts have learned to win with their RB depth, and Peyton keeps it going by hitting Wayne, Harrison, and Clark through the air. The Colts are going to be hard to stop this post season. The Chargers can save their season with a win here, but its not going to be easy. LDT is hurt again this week, and so is his buddy Gates. Does anyone else agree that LDT is fading fast? What has happened to him? Maybe his toe is really hurt, but I just don’t see the same life in those legs. I think Shuan, and Priest have saved room for him in the house of the stars that dropped of the cliff. Again I am taking the road team, because I can’t back Rivers over Peyton in the playoffs.
What is going on here? Another road favorite you say. Hit me up for some more. I love the way the Ravens play defense and you know what they say. Defenses
Pain Time!! WHOOOO!!!!!! win championships or something like that. The Ravens have looked impressive at the end of the year, and they can shut down even the high-powered offenses. The Fins have surprised everyone this year, and are just happy to be here. A team that went from winning 1 game, to the playoffs the next year is pretty impressive. Pennington, Ricky, and Ronnie provide just enough offense for them to be successful. The Dolphins are not a high scoring team, and they won’t score a lot this week either. The Ravens are just outright nasty on D and will put the clamps down on the feel good fins this week.
Philadelphia (-3) at Minnesota
I must be smoking something now. Again, I am picking the road favorite. This one I am a little shaky on, because I just don’t know what Eagle team will show up each week. If they play like they did against Dallas, then forgot about it. The Vikings have to realy heavily on Peterson each week. Their passing game lets say isn’t very good. I can’t trust Tavaris Jackson in the playoffs or really in any game. The Eagles are hungry, and gained all the momentum last week when everyone thought they were dead a couple of weeks ago. McNabb will hopefully not puke on the winning drive in this contest, and the Eagle D will put just enough claws on Peterson to slow him down. I like the Eagles to win their first round playoff game like they usually do. Fly like an Eagle in this one.
Anyone disagree??? Let's hear your thoughts.
