Howdy,
The Big Game is finally here. It has been a long two week layoff from football, and we finally have arrived to the weekend of the Super Bowl. I am as excited as a little kid in a candy store. I love the Super Bowl, but I have to admit the second the gun sounds I go into a deep hole of sadness because the next month for sports is just pitful. Think positive I guess. I hope everyone has their chips, dip, beer, steaks, dogs, and burgers ready to go, because the SUPER BOWL has arrived. Yippee.
NY Giants at New England (-11.5)
The big game opened up at a 14 point spread, and we have seen the NY faithful and smart money drop it down to 11.5. People were smart and didn't want to pay the Patriot Tax this week. It seems that every week nobody believes the Giants. The Bucs will win easily, the Cowboys are going to kill them, no way they can be the Pack in their home. However, they keep chugging along, and the amazing thing they have done this all on the road. It is like Eli doesn't feel the pressure of the New York crowd turning on him on his own field. Can Eli make it through the whole playoffs without making any mistakes or will he crumble under the pressure of Super Bowl? The Patriots have not looked as strong as they did at the beginning of the season. They have let teams hang around, but have lately found ways to put them away at the end. The Pats are chasing history. They are chasing the Greatest Team ever title, and possible Brady is chasing the Greatest QB ever title for himself too. Everyone is pointing to the last game of the season where the Giants only lost by 3. Yes the Giants did have a late lead, and fell under the pressure. Everyone seems to forgot that the Gryos scored in the last 6 seconds to not lose by double digits. I think the Pats offense line gives Brady a lot of time and he will exploit the banged up secondary of the Giants. Moss will get back on track too. You are not going to shut him out of the endzone for the whole playoffs. The Giants will try to be conservative and run the ball with their two headed backs this Sunday. Plax will need to step up big, but I just don't see it. He opened his big fat hole this week and he will pay for it. I have been burned by the Giants the past three weeks by going against them, lets see if they can make it four. I am taking the dominate AFC, and the Best Team ever to cover the 11.5!
