Tonight we have a matchup of David vs. Goliath...literally.  Tim Lincecum, who I will now refer to as Plastic Man  (see picture) is only 5'11" according to Yahoo, however, if you have ever seen him, he looks no taller than 5'8".  It's as if they had to raise his height numbers just so batters wouldn't feel bad getting K'd by someone who looks and has the same height as the 12 year olds we see in the Little League World Series.  Chris Young on the other hand is a Giant (get it...pun :-) ) at 6'10".  My opinion about people this tall that are playing a sport other than basketball is that they are just completely uncoordinated.  If you are 6'10", you should be able to be a backup on most NBA teams if you have the slightest hand eye coordination.  Then again, that could just be the Napoleon complex in me talking.  On to the matchup.

San Francisco Giants +122 at San Diego Padres

Lincecum comes into tonight looking to get his fourth straight win, and that is while having to pitch with possibly the worst team in baseball hitting wise behind you.  The Giants don't have power, but somehow they have managed to eek out a win here and win there to pose a respectable record.  I'm not sure how long this 4-A squad will keep doing it, but they only need a couple runs with Lincecum on the mound, seeing as he has a 1.57 ERA.  

Young, despite being good last year, has a 4.57 ERA this year, mainly due to a rough outing a couple starts ago.  He is a strong pitcher having struck out 164 and 167 the last two years, and I think he will do well again tonight.

With the odds at +122, I have a rough time picking against Lincecum.  Until Young proves he has settled down (1.62 WHIP) I am going to take the underdog again.  I believe this is the 4th straight underdog pick this week.  Good luck!
