College Football

NC State vs. South Carolina and Oregon vs. Boise State Picks

It's been a long time coming, but we are finally back in those few precious months where College Football rules our world, and we love every minute of it.  Thomas, aka pittpanther, has gotten off to a nice start with his top 10 predictions for the entire 2009 season, and although I don't agree with a lot of them, I am going to be hard pressed to be able to defend my positions as well as he can.

Anyways, we start off with a classic ACC versus SEC matchup in the first game with NC State trying to make amends for last year's 34-0 drubbing at the hands of the Old ball coach and South Carolina in the opening game last year.  And then we have the much anticipated Oregon versus Boise State matchup on the blue turf.  So, let's get down to our picks.

10Jumping right in, who will hoist the BCS Championship trophy on January 7th, 2010?

Florida vs. Oklahoma Pick (BCS National Championship Game)

2008 BCS National Championship2008 BCS National ChampionshipHere we finally are, nearly 4.5 months since the opening kickoff of College Football, and all we have is one more game to go.  It's a sad time for most college football fans, but we have one final game to turn those frowns upside down.  Whether you like the BCS or not, this is our national championship game, unless the AP poll decides to give Utah the title, which I might add they deserve.  You don't beat 4 ranked teams, including Alabama in the Sugar Bowl, and not deserve to win it.  If Utah had that type of win prior to the BCS selections, then they would be playing tomorrow instead of Florida or Oklahoma.  However, here we are, with another SEC team going for the title, but this time instead of easily being able to roll over a weak and slow Big 10 team, they get a quick Big 12 team, and I can't wait to see the results.
